You would assume that since this was my second visit to Universal Orlando, I would know what to expect and be able to handle myself. Wrong. Every year they have something new and this time HARRY POTTER! So, I thought I would share some helpful tips to those big kids out there, who (like me) cannot contain your excitement!
1) Go Off Peak
Unfortunately for me, I went during June-July. BIG MISTAKE. The queues were unbearable, and what was worse... the heat. It was so hot and humid that when walking around the park, we had to jump into every store or cafe for the air conditioning.
The queues are all outside, so be ready for that. You'll need tonnes of water to make sure you don't dehydrate in the long queues.
2) Buy An Unlimited Refill
One of the best deals you can come across is the unlimited refills. You buy a Universal themed sip cup, then throughout the day, you just ask for a refill and no questions asked. They have tonnes of flavours, so it isn't just water!
3) Download The App On The Free Wifi
One of my favourite things about Universal is the free wifi. With this, take advantage and download the app, it tells you in real time, queues lengths, parking reminder (so you don't forget where you parked)
4) Wear Sensible Clothes
We all want to look FABULOUS in our holiday photos, so we buy the most outrageously uncomfortable outfits. Thankfully, on my second visit, I wore baggy denim shorts and a comfy t-shirt. Trust me, in that heat, you want your back covered when it's dripping with sweat.
5) Book In Advance
It is true when they say, book online and in advance, your tickets will be cheaper. Not only that, but you get coupons for City Walk. Saving every penny helps!
